What is a 13 number?

A 13 service is a premium service which allows you to promote a single short, easily remembered phone number (six digits only). The caller is charged the cost of a local call irrespective of where they call from. You are charged local and national call rates, and receive a set number of minutes free for local calls. Calls from mobile phones are charged at the applicable mobile rates.

Being a Premium 6 digit number, a special annual Premium Number rental fee is applied. This is mostly a government tax. Full 13 pricing can be found here

The 13 product allows an organisation to use a special number to receive incoming calls, typically from existing or potential customers.

Incoming calls can originate from within Australia or internationally. Contact 13 and Contact 1300 numbers are accessible from wireline and mobile phones (unless mobile services are barred at the request of the customer).
